GUN Auction

An inherited home. Rooms of belongings. Decisions you did not expect to make. Start with a practical plan for selling the estate property—not another task list to manage alone.

Guns to sell. A process to understand.

Selling a firearm or collection can involve more than simply finding a buyer. Perhaps you inherited firearms you know little about. Perhaps you are downsizing a collection or have several different types of firearms and related items to evaluate.

True Blue Auctions helps individuals, families and collectors prepare firearms and collections for sale through auction. Start with what you have, what you know about it and what you would like to accomplish.

Understand what you have

Review the firearms, related items and available information before determining how they may fit into a sale.

Consider the collection together

Discuss individual firearms or an entire collection so the proposed auction approach reflects the nature and extent of the property.

Know the proposed scope

Review evaluation, preparation, marketing, sale arrangements and applicable requirements before committing.

From a firearm or collection to a workable auction plan

  1. Tell us what you have. Share a general description of the firearms or collection, its location and any information you already know.
  2. Review the selling options. We discuss the property and whether an auction is an appropriate method for bringing it to market.
  3. Agree on the plan. Preparation, marketing, responsibilities, sale arrangements and charges belong in the proposed agreement.
  4. Bring the collection to market. The approved campaign presents the property to prospective bidders and provides the information needed to participate.

Our role is auction and sale support. Firearm ownership, possession, transfer, shipping and other regulatory requirements remain subject to applicable federal, state and local law and any required licensed parties.

Questions sellers ask first

Do I need to know exactly what every firearm is?

No. You can begin with a general description of what you have. Available photographs, markings, records and other information can help with the initial discussion and proposed next steps.

Can we discuss an entire collection?

Yes. True Blue can discuss individual firearms as well as larger collections. The recommended auction approach depends on the type, quantity and circumstances of the property.

What would make the next step easier for you?

Send the location, a brief description of the firearms or collection and what you need help deciding. You do not need to prepare a complete inventory before starting the conversation.
