Coin Auctions

From inherited albums to a collection built over decades, start with the coins and the records you have. Explore an auction presentation for buyers who care about the details.

A coin collection deserves more than a quick guess.

Albums, holders, loose coins and handwritten notes can tell very different stories. Before deciding how to sell, bring together what is actually in the collection and the information that goes with it.

True Blue Auctions accepts coin collections for auction consideration. Its coin service includes U.S., world and ancient coins, with marketing and bidding arrangements discussed for the particular consignment.

U.S. coins

Pennies, nickels, dimes, quarters, silver dollars and other U.S. collection pieces.

World and ancient coins

Collections with different origins and periods, supported by the identification information you have.

Inherited collections

Albums, grouped collections and individual pieces whose selling options need a careful first discussion.

Give the right audience useful information.

Our published coin-auction approach includes website and relevant online promotion, email notification and other campaign methods. Live, internet, phone and absentee bidding options depend on the event. The proposal should explain which methods apply to your collection.

  1. Describe what you have. Share the collection's location, approximate size and available photographs.
  2. Bring the supporting records. Include any holder information, grading documentation, receipts or inventory already available.
  3. Review the consignment approach. Discuss preparation, descriptions, marketing, seller charges and auction arrangements.

For other collectible items, see Antiques & Collectibles. For a collection within a larger household sale, see Estate Auctions.

Before sending the collection

Do the coins need to be professionally graded first?

Do not assume every coin requires the same preparation. Share any existing grading information and discuss the collection before arranging additional paid services. Grading or authentication is not automatically included in an auction consultation.

Can you guarantee what the coins will bring?

No selling price is guaranteed here. Describe what is known about the coins without assuming rarity, grade or metal content, and review the proposed selling costs before choosing the method.

Start with a conversation, not a shipment.

Tell us about the coins and your selling plans. Confirm handling and any delivery arrangements with the team before sending property.

Review and send the email draft, or call 844-243-2255.

START WITH YOUR SITUATION

What would make your next step easier?

An estate to settle. A property to sell. Assets ready for their next chapter. Start with what you know—we can discuss the questions together.

You do not need a finished inventory.A brief description and location are enough to begin.
