A. No! From the financing to the closing, the process of buying is exactly the same with the only difference between buying a home at auction and traditionally is how the final price is determined.

Why would an Agent/Broker/Realtor discourage Buyers to purchase at Auction?  They may offer all types of reasons and many are not true.  You want to know the real reason?  Because they don’t get paid the same.  It is not hard to figure out, just follow the money and you will discover their motives.  Agents/Relators/Brokers want paid either representing a Buyer or a Seller and many Auctioneers and/or Auction companies do not offer commission to Realtor/Agents – (However, we do).  This is why they discourage buying a home at Auction.  Rather than become educated about the auction method and how they can help a buyer and still get paid, they would rather tell them to consider a property they have listed so they can keep all the commission.
